Trump edges Harris in critical states as voters favor war stance
A firm, albeit not very empathetic, approach to ending the war in Ukraine and the Middle East is highly rated by a particular group of voters in the USA. The "Wall Street Journal," an American newspaper, published the latest pre-election survey.
In this latest public opinion poll conducted by the "Wall Street Journal," Donald Trump, representing the Republicans, gained more support than Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. This advantage is associated with his stance on the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
According to the poll results, Trump and Harris received comparable support in seven key states, which could be decisive in the upcoming November presidential elections. The survey found that Harris holds a slight two-point lead in Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan, while Trump has a six-point advantage in Nevada and a one-point lead in Pennsylvania. Both are tied in North Carolina and Wisconsin.

In analyzing attitudes toward the two armed conflicts in these swing states, Trump gained an advantage with 50 to 39 percent over Harris on handling the situation in Ukraine better and 48 to 33 percent in managing the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Another poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos on the same day showed that Trump and Harris are in close competition nationally, with Harris holding a slight lead at 46 to 43 percent.
In economic and immigration matters, Donald Trump gained more trust from respondents, while Kamala Harris was preferred in areas related to housing and healthcare.
