The agency's information suggests that Ukraine plans to launch its first long-range attacks in the coming days using ATACMS missiles, capable of reaching about 190 miles.
Reuters reports that the shift in the U.S. administration's stance was influenced by Russia's deployment of North Korean ground troops on the front.
The White House does not comment on the matter
The White House declined to comment on the situation, avoiding addressing reports of Ukraine's potential use of American weapons against Russian targets.
Although the Reuters sources did not reveal their identities, they are said to be directly familiar with the matter.
NYT: missiles are to be used in the Kursk region
According to the New York Times, American long-range missiles are expected to be used against Russian and North Korean troops in the Kursk region.
The first long-range attacks are likely to be carried out soon using ATACMS missiles with a range of 190 miles.
It is not clear if Trump will reverse Biden's decision when he takes office. Trump has long criticized the scale of U.S. financial and military aid to Ukraine and has vowed to end the war quickly, without explaining how, Reuters adds.
A black night in Ukraine
