- More than a thousand evacuees have been placed with relatives - reported Igor Tkachyov, the Russian-appointed mayor of Feodosia, on Thursday. Movement restrictions remain around the burning terminal, and roads and schools remain closed.

Tkachyov added that vehicles and private buildings were damaged in the incident. A special commission is also working in the city to assess the damage.

Fourth day of the fire

The Russian fuel depot has been burning for four days. Clouds of dense, black smoke are rising over the city, but despite this, authorities claim there has been no air contamination.

Earlier, the mayor of Feodosia stated that fire brigades from all over Russia had been brought in to extinguish the fire.

Attack on occupied Crimea

On Monday morning, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Ukrainian forces attacked the oil terminal in Feodosia. It is the largest terminal in Crimea for transshipping petroleum products, used, among other things, for the needs of the Russian army. Ukrainian drones previously attacked this base in March.
