Israeli air raid on Damascus claims lives, including a TV host
As a result of an Israeli air raid on the Syrian capital, Damascus, three people were killed, including a Syrian television presenter, and nine others were injured. Syrian state media reported this information.
"The Israeli enemy launched an aerial assault using warplanes and drones from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights, targeting several points in Damascus," reported the official news agency SANA.

Earlier, Syrian state television reported the death of presenter Safa Ahmad, describing her as a martyr who died as a result of Israeli aggression on the capital, Damascus.

The SANA agency also added that air defense systems identified and intercepted "hostile targets" for the third time tonight in the Damascus region. The use of this term, typical of Israeli attacks, was confirmed by the AFP agency.
