Israeli airstrikes in Yemen claim nine lives, intensify tensions
Overnight, Israeli airstrikes hit Yemen, reports Al Masirah TV, which is controlled by the Houthi rebels. As a result, at least nine people were killed.
According to Al Masirah TV, among the nine fatalities, seven people died in the attack on the Salif port, while two others were killed in strikes on the Ras Issa oil terminal in the Al Hudaydah province.
The airstrikes also targeted two power plants located south and north of Yemen's capital, Sana'a.
Israeli armed forces spokesperson on "precision strikes"
The Israeli armed forces spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, previously stated that the Israeli military conducted "precision strikes" on facilities used by the Houthi, including ports and energy infrastructure in the capital they control.
Shortly before the strikes on Yemen, the Israeli armed forces reported the detection and shooting down of a missile launched toward Israel by the Houthi rebels.
