- Russia, in cooperation with China, North Korea, and Iran, threatens Europe, the Indo-Pacific region, and North America - warned NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who met with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Rutte and Macron discussed the current challenges facing the North Atlantic Alliance. The Secretary General emphasized the necessity of maintaining NATO's strength in the face of increasing international tensions.

Declaration of support for Ukraine

- We must maintain the strength of our North Atlantic Alliance. The challenge we face now is supporting Ukraine - he said. He pointed out that Kiev is preparing for the most difficult winter since the full-scale Russian aggression began in February 2022.

The Secretary General noted that NATO should take additional actions to change the course of the war. According to him, the Alliance "must do more than just let Ukraine fight." The AFP agency assessed that this declaration by the Secretary General is related to the presidential elections in the United States, won by Donald Trump.

France's involvement in helping Ukraine

The head of the Alliance thanked France for its involvement in NATO's activities and its assistance to Ukraine.

Many Ukrainian soldiers are being trained in France, and Paris has committed to delivering Dassault Mirage fighter jets to Kiev at the beginning of next year. It is unclear whether it will be three or six aircraft, as French media reminded.
