- Overnight from Friday to Saturday, Israel struck Iran. The attack was reportedly in retaliation for Iranian shelling on October 1st. The IDF spokesman reported that precision strikes are being conducted on military targets. The United States was reportedly informed in advance about the planned attack.
- The residents of Kyiv had a difficult night as well. A Russian drone hit a residential skyscraper in the capital of Ukraine. The attack killed a teenage girl and injured five people. Emergency services battled fires on the upper floors of the building. There are also reports of intense Russian shelling in Dnipro.
- Gangsters shot dead prosecutor Marcelo Vasconez and a policeman assigned to his protection in Ecuador on Friday, according to local media. Vasconez dealt with cases of international organized crime. The attack occurred in front of the prosecutor's office in the Pacific coastal city of Manta in western Ecuador.
