Russia allegedly fires ICBM in latest strike on Ukraine
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that during Thursday's attack on Ukraine, Russia used, among other weapons, an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). However, there is still no conclusive evidence to support this claim. Videos have emerged online that allegedly show the moment of the ballistic missile attack, but their authenticity is questionable.

According to Ukrainian sources, an intercontinental ballistic missile was launched Thursday morning from the Astrakhan region over the Caspian Sea. Theoretically, such a missile can carry nuclear warheads and has a range of up to 3,700 miles.
The Ukrainian side has not disclosed the type of ballistic missile launched by the Russians or whether it hit its target. It is only known that the morning's massive missile strike was aimed at the city of Dnipro, located in the southeastern part of the country.
A video, allegedly capturing the moment of impact of the ballistic missile warheads, was shared on the X platform by publicist and military analyst Jarosław Wolski. However, the quality of the footage is too low to be considered definitive evidence.
Doubts after reports from Ukrainians. "Several questions arise"
"Six series of 'something' strikes, where several questions immediately arise: each series shows the fall of many fragments/smaller warheads. So, either the warheads started to disintegrate in the terminal phase of the attack, there were many heavy decoy targets, or... more than one ICBM was used," Wolski wrote.
Doubts are also raised by the lack of visible explosions in the video when the missiles hit the ground.
The reports that an intercontinental ballistic missile was used are also denied by ABC News, which cites information from a Western official.
However, if the Ukrainian military’s claims are confirmed, it would be the first instance of an intercontinental missile being used in the ongoing war with Russia.
