Russians build mysterious structures around Crimean Bridge

Russians are conducting construction work around the Crimean Bridge. "It may be both a protective and technical structure," said the spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk. Its exact purpose remains a mystery for now.

The spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, reported that Russian occupiers are erecting a mysterious structure around the Crimean Bridge, the purpose of which is still unclear.

"I am not yet ready to provide 100 percent verified information about what exactly is being built there," Pletenchuk emphasized in an interview with the UNIAN agency.

One hypothesis suggests that the structures are storm barriers. The military official points out that the Russians have very little time to complete them since the season is about to start. However, according to Pletenchuk, this is unlikely.

Russians strengthen the defense of the bridge

Additionally, the Russians are deploying numerous anti-aircraft systems around the bridge to secure the crossing from air attacks. "The peninsula is as densely as possible dotted with air defense systems. For the occupiers, this has not only practical but also symbolic significance. They have sanctified both the Crimean Bridge and Crimea itself. For them, it is a crucial location," the military official emphasized.

"Crimea is a logistical hub. Moreover, despite its current impracticality, the naval base in Crimea remains the main naval base of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation," he pointed out.

Pletenchuk also stated that the defense of the Crimean Peninsula and the bridge includes systems such as the S-300, S-400, and even the S-500. The naval forces' spokesperson also indicated the deployment of additional Pantsir systems. "We have already seen how 'effectively' they can repel attacks," the Ukrainian military official mocked.
