Survivors emerge after plane crashes in Kazakhstan's Aktau
A passenger plane has crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, as reported by foreign media. Kazakh authorities have stated that there are passengers who survived the crash.
"A plane doing the Baku-Grozny route crashed near the city of Aktau. It belongs to Azerbaijan Airlines", said the Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The plane that crashed was an Embraer E190. Azerbaijan Airlines reported that there were a total of 72 passengers on board. The number of fatalities is not yet known.
According to Kazakh authorities, there are survivors of the crash. Reports suggest that six people might have survived.
Reuters reported that the plane was headed to Grozny but changed course due to fog in Chechnya's capital.
