On Friday, Jonson discussed cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry in Stockholm with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. He emphasized that the details of the cooperation are still being finalized.
The issue of funding for the joint project is expected to be resolved in January. This will occur during the presentation of the 18th military aid package for Ukraine.
The head of the Swedish Defense Ministry also commented on the Russian attack on Thursday, during which Putin's army used a medium-range ballistic missile for the first time.
"Russia will not scare us," declared the politician. He assured that this will not deter Sweden from continuing to assist Ukraine. The Swedish government has declared that in 2025-26, it will provide Ukraine with assistance worth about 2.3 billion dollars annually.
