Tragedy in Tel Aviv: 37 injured in suspected attack

At least 37 people were injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday in Gilot, a suburb of Tel Aviv in Israel. Authorities are not ruling out the possibility of an attack.

The incident took place around 3 AM Eastern Time. The police in Tel Aviv stated that they are investigating the matter as a potential terrorist attack.

"An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing," the police report.

Medical services reported that about 20 people sustained minor injuries, and 5 were taken to the hospital with "moderate injuries". The condition of the remaining individuals is not yet known. Some of the injured were trapped under the truck.

Those requiring medical assistance were transported to several nearby hospitals.

According to "The Jerusalem Post," the truck driver has been arrested. The newspaper reports that people at the bus stop shot at the man, trying to stop the vehicle he was driving.

The intersection where the incident occurred was temporarily closed to traffic, and the police cordoned off the area.
