Trump blasts Putin's tactics; criticizes Zelensky's remarks

- He has gone absolutely CRAZY! I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia, - said former US President Donald Trump on Sunday. At the same time, he criticized the statements of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that everything he says only causes problems.

Trump shared these comments on the Truth Social platform regarding the intensification of bombings in Ukraine. He reiterated his earlier view that "something has happened to Vladimir Putin" and expanded on his criticism.

I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY! He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever. I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia! - he added.

Trump had previously mentioned that Putin wanted the whole of Ukraine but reportedly abandoned those ambitions because of him.

Despite this criticism, the former American president simultaneously reprimanded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for what he considered harmful statements.

"Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop," - Trump stated.

Trump considers imposing sanctions on Russia

Nevertheless, he repeated that if he were president, Russia's aggression would not have happened, adding that it is not his war.

"This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War, not 'Trump’s,' I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires, that have been started through Gross Incompetence and Hatred," - he summed up.

Commenting on the intensified Russian airstrikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, Trump previously said he would "absolutely" consider imposing new sanctions on Russia, although he did not confirm that he would actually do it.
