  • Donald Trump commented on the intensifying bombings of Ukraine by Russia in a Sunday post on the Truth Social platform.
  • The former President of the United States reiterated his earlier assertion that "something happened to Vladimir Putin," but he went further in his criticism.
  • The former President also accused Volodymyr Zelensky of making statements that bring problems to Ukraine.

Trump emphasized that "he always had good relations with Putin," but, as he stated, "something happened" with the Russian leader. "He has gone absolutely CRAZY! He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever," the former President wrote.

"I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!" he added.

Trump did not spare the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, either. "Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop," Trump warned.

The former President reiterated that if he were in office, the Russian aggression on Ukraine would not have occurred. "This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War, not 'Trump’s,' I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires, that have been started through Gross Incompetence and Hatred."

Trump, commenting on the intensified Russian airstrikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, previously said he would "absolutely" consider imposing new sanctions on Russia, although he did not commit to whether he would actually implement them.
