Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his concerns about the deal with the USA, as revealed by "Bloomberg" and "Financial Times". The document stipulates that profits from Ukrainian resources will go to the USA, which may affect the Ukrainian economy and its integration with the European Union.

On Sunday, Donald Trump accused Zelensky of wanting to withdraw from this deal. He also threatened that Zelensky would face troubles because of it. "He's trying to withdraw from the rare earth metals deal and if he does, he will have some problems, big, big problems," Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One.

- He wants to be a member of NATO, but he's never going to be a member of NATO. He understands that, - added Trump.

Conflict over rare earth metals

Let's recall that last Monday Donald Trump, during a conversation with journalists after his cabinet meeting, conveyed that the United States agreed with Ukraine on a deal concerning rare earth minerals.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that he will not agree to terms that could threaten the country's European aspirations. The Ukrainian side is working on amendments to the draft agreement, while Washington is pushing for a quick signing of the agreement.

Rare earth metals, also known as rare earth elements, are a group of 17 chemical elements, which include scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium.
