According to the Ipsos poll published on Wednesday, support for Donald Trump fell from 47 to 45 percent within a week.

- While it does seem Trump is getting a honeymoon to some extent, his numbers are still not impressive by historical standards, said Kyle Kondik from the University of Virginia Center for Politics in an interview with Reuters.

In the first weeks of his previous term, Trump had 49 percent support, and he concluded it with 34 percent, the agency recalls.

What are Americans most critical of?

Ipsos examined voters' attitudes toward Trump's decisions and announcements. Plans to restructure the federal administration are the most popular, gaining support from 61 percent of respondents. Meanwhile, 49 percent of Americans back the hiring freeze and the requirement to work from the office.

Plans to increase fossil fuel production are supported by 48 percent of Americans; however, responses vary based on party affiliation—76 percent of Republicans support this initiative, while 81 percent of Democrats oppose it.

Most Americans view some of Trump's foreign policy plans negatively. For example, changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico has support from 25 percent, and imposing tariffs on imports from Canada has backing from 37 percent. The decision to pardon participants in the Capitol assault is supported by 34 percent, while the abolition of birthright citizenship is supported by 36 percent.
