A Ukrainian drone struck a fuel depot in the Belgorod region of Russia, the region's governor reported. Residents posted photos of burning fuel tanks on social media.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a fuel depot in the Belgorod region using an uncrewed aerial vehicle. Due to the explosion, the tanks caught fire. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze," reported Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region in Russia, on Sunday.

Gladkov added that information about the attack's consequences is being clarified. "All operational services are working on site," he noted.

Local residents posted photos on social media showing burning tanks. The attack is said to have occurred in the village of Jutanovka, near Volokonovka.

According to information provided by its governor, the Belgorod region experiences near-daily attacks by Ukraine. On Sunday alone, a representative of the Russian government reported several strikes.

"Three more settlements in our region were attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using drones. There were no casualties," Gladkov reported on Sunday evening. The villages of Berezovka, Ryabiki, and Novaya Tavolzhanka were reportedly attacked.
