"It's falling, it's falling!" shout the security guards of the refinery of the Federal Reserve Agency of Russia (Rosrezerv) "Zenit," as they try to shoot down a Ukrainian drone. This marks the first attack on Kirov Oblast in Russia, which is approximately 932 miles from the Ukrainian border. "Now there will be chaos," can be heard in the next recording.

This is the first drone attack on Kirov Oblast since the beginning of the war. According to reports, two fuel tanks belonging to Rosrezerv are burning in the city of Kotelnich.

"Now there will be chaos," shouts a witness who recorded the moment another drone fell. The video shows workers and security guards running around in panic.

"It's falling, it's falling!" shout the refinery security guards.

"For the first time since the establishment of the Northern Military District, the region has been attacked," writes Baza.

The TASS agency reports that five drones fell on the refinery.

On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Ukrainian drones attacked fuel depots in the Rostov region. According to Ukrainian media, citing intelligence sources, the attacks were carried out by Ukrainian military intelligence HUR and Special Operations Forces (SSO).

"The attacked facility is part of the Russian military-industrial complex and is directly involved in the process of supplying enemy troops. The exact results of the operation are still being determined," said a spokesperson from HUR to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

Interfax-Ukraine wrote that the state enterprise Kombinat Atlas belongs to the Russian Federal Agency for State Reserves in the Southern Federal District and specializes in supplying petroleum products to the Russian armed forces.

In August 2020, Kombinat Atlas hosted joint exercises of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for State Reserves as part of the Caucasus-2020 maneuvers. At that time, the delivery of fuels for the army by road, rail, and pipelines was practiced, the Ukrainian agency reminded.
