Ukrainian armed forces shot down a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle, the Zala Z-20, in the Sumy region. It's one of the more advanced drones in Vladimir Putin’s army. Powered by an electric motor, the aircraft can stay aloft for over six hours and transmit HD images from over 60 miles away.

Unmanned aerial vehicles of various types have become a daily reality of the war in Ukraine, with FPV drones and bombers known as "Baba Yaga" being particularly feared.

Recently, Ukrainians have boasted a series of effective enemy drone shootdowns. According to regularly published reports by the local armed forces, the defenders typically hit all or almost all drones launched by Russians towards them.

According to the latest information, Ukrainian armed forces shot down a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle, the Zala Z-20, in the Sumy region.

The Zala Z-20 is powered by an electric motor, allowing the aircraft to stay in the air for over 6 hours, transmitting HD images from over 60 miles away. The unmanned system is used for reconnaissance and observation of objects of interest.

The Zala Z-20 is equipped with an onboard computer using modern artificial intelligence algorithms. This computer allows it to make quick, necessary decisions, increasing its work efficiency.

Full compatibility with the Z-16 model's ground equipment, including the launcher and load, is a significant advantage that reduces costs for upgrading existing drones.

The new model features increased payload capacity, accommodating additional loads depending on the UAV operator's tasks. Moreover, ZALA company states that the machine has incredible resistance to radio interference and a low acoustic signature.
