The survey was conducted on behalf of the New Europe Center. A total of 44.6 percent of Ukrainian respondents expressed trust in Trump, which is much higher than in other European countries. For comparison, only 16 percent of French and 30 percent of British people trust Trump.
Ukrainians trust Trump
According to the Ukrainian Pravda Service, this high trust in Trump may negatively affect the approach to the current President, Joe Biden, who, along with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, has been highly ranked among foreign leaders.
Last year, the New Europe Center conducted a similar survey, asking which of the two American leaders Ukrainians sympathized with more. At that time, Biden was the undisputed leader, scoring 78.1 percent, while only 10.1 percent of respondents sided with Trump.
Info Sapiens surveyed on behalf of the New Europe Center from November 15 to November 27, 2024. The survey sample consisted of 1,000 respondents, and the theoretical sampling error does not exceed 3.1% with a probability of 0.95%.
