Easter truce shattered: Russian drones strike Ukraine again
Russian drones over Ukraine reveal Vladimir Putin's true attitude towards Easter and human life, stated the President of Ukraine on Holy Saturday. Volodymyr Zelensky added that Ukrainian air defense is currently repelling another attack by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.
"As for yet another attempt by Putin to play with people’s lives – an air raid alert is sounding across Ukraine right now. At 5:15 p.m., Russian attack drones were spotted in our skies. Ukrainian air defense and aviation are already responding. The presence of Shahed (drones) over our territory shows Putin’s true attitude toward Easter and human life," Zelensky emphasized in a social media post.
Earlier on Saturday, Putin announced that at 6:00 PM Moscow time, an Easter truce would take effect in the war with Ukraine. The ceasefire is set to last until midnight from Sunday to Monday.
Putin talks about "humanitarianism"
Let us recall that Vladimir Putin, who is responsible for the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, called on Kyiv for a truce. "Guided by humanitarian considerations, today from 18:00 to 00:00 from Sunday to Monday, the Russian side declares an Easter truce," announced the leader of the Russian Federation in a Kremlin statement.
