Lukashenko to Moscow: New efforts in Ukraine peace talks
According to information from the Kremlin, Lukashenko is expected to visit Moscow. He has expressed a willingness to assist in the "process of resolving the Ukrainian conflict."
Many reports from Russian and Belarusian media or government representatives contain propaganda elements. They are part of the Russian Federation's ongoing information war.
Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that preparations for Lukashenko's visit to Russia are underway. He noted that the subject of Ukraine is discussed at every meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
Previously, Lukashenko expressed his readiness to assist in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
The Kremlin reacts to Trump's decision
The Kremlin described Donald Trump's decision to suspend U.S. military aid to Ukraine as a significant contribution to the cause of peace. Putin’s press secretary mentioned that Russia must analyze U.S. President Donald Trump's decision specifics.
"The normalization of Russian-American relations should involve lifting the burden of sanctions," said Dmitry Peskov at a press briefing.
On Friday, the Russian news agency TASS reported that Putin signed the law ratifying the agreement with Belarus concerning security guarantees within the framework of the Union State.
The media reported that the document is intended to define mutual obligations related to defense, protection of sovereignty, independence, and the constitutional order of Russia and Belarus, while also ensuring the integrity and inviolability of the territory and the external border of the Union State.
