However, Ushakov did not provide details on when a possible address by Putin might take place.

The Russian president met with Alexander Lukashenko at the Kremlin. The Belarusian leader revealed during a press conference that Putin plans to meet with Steven Witkoff. The topic of the talks is the American proposal regarding a temporary ceasefire.

"Today and tomorrow, Vladimir Vladimirovich will talk with Trump's representatives and envoys on this subject, and there are many questions, besides the 30-day ceasefire. This needs to be considered as a whole, and appropriate decisions must be made," Lukashenko stated.

It is also known that the first talks between the Russian and US representatives have taken place. On Wednesday, the White House informed about a phone conversation between Mike Waltz and his Russian counterpart. Today, these reports were commented on by Yuri Ushakov, who admitted that he conveyed Russia's position.

The Kremlin rejected the idea of a temporary ceasefire.

Visit of the American delegation to Moscow

On Thursday, an American delegation arrived in Moscow to conduct talks with the Russian side. On the plane, which landed in Moscow, was Steven Witkoff, the special advisor to US President Donald Trump on Middle East affairs.
